According to all the Greek Media, the Defending champion Panathinaikos Aktor Athens (GBL) added to their roster 26-year old Turk-Uzbekistani international center Omer Yurtseven (213cm-120kg-1998, college: Georgetown) for new 2024-25 season with just some typical details remaining and the deal to be finalised by Friday, this week. Yurtseven played last season at Utah Jazz in the NBA. In 48 games he had 4.6ppg and 4.3rpg.
The most of previous (2022-23) season he spent at the Heat in NBA where in 17 games he recorded just 2.6ppg and 1.6rpg in that year. He also played for Skyforce in U.S. NBA-G-League. In two games he averaged impressive 27.5ppg, 13.5rpg, 4.0apg and 1.0spg in that year.
Yurtseven has been also a member of Turkish international program for some years. He has regularly played for Turkish senior team since 2021 and previously for U18 National Team back in 2015.
Yurtseven represented Turkey at the European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) U20 in Crete (Greece) seven years ago. His stats at that event were 7 games: Score-4(17.0ppg), Reb-4(11.4rpg), Blocks-2(2.1bpg), FGP: 62.0%, FT: 61.8%.
He has played previously professionally in NBA G League (OKC Blue).
Yurtseven was voted to All-Big East Honorable Mention back in 2020.
He graduated from Georgetown University in 2020 and it will be his fifth season as a professional player. Yurtseven played also for North Carolina State University for 2 years.
