Enosi Kalathosfairisis Kavalas (National League 2) strengthened their roster with addition of experienced 40-year old 198cm small forward Stavros Koumlelis for upcoming season. It is actually his comeback to Kavalas as he has played here before. Koumlelis has played for the last two years at KAO Dramas in the National League 1. National League 2 will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time. He helped them to win the group title.
Koumlelis has spent his entire career in Greece playing for three other teams: HANTH Thessaloniki, Eleftheroupoli and Agia Varvaras.
Among many awards he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Greek C League Honorable Mention back in 2015.
He is close to retirement age as a player. It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Kavalas.
