Manisa Buyuksehir Belediye Spor (BSL) strengthened their roster with addition of 25-year old 194cm swingman Leon Harun Apaydin for season 2024-25. Apaydin played most recently at Buyukcekmece. In 29 BSL games he recorded 3.4ppg and 1.7rpg last season.
The previous (2022-23) season he played at Gaziantep Basketbol. The team played in three different competitions (!!!) that year, and he had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. In 24 BSL games he averaged just 2.3ppg and 1.1rpg in that year. He helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final. Apaydin also played 13 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he got only 2.8ppg in that year. He contributed to his team making it to the quarterfinals.
Apaydin represented Turkey at the European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) U18 in Samsun (Turkey) eight years ago. His stats at that event were 3 games: 2.7ppg, 1.3rpg.
He has played previously for six other teams: Darussafaka Lassa, Besiktas, Yesilgiresun, Afyon, Darussafaka and Karsiyaka.
