Cazoo Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz (Liga Endesa) added to their roster 22-year old Russian ex-international shooting guard Pavel Savkov (201cm-91kg-2002) for season 2024-25. He played last season at Gipuzkoa in Spanish Primera FEB. In 18 games he recorded 6.1ppg and 1.6rpg. He also played for Squadron in NBA G League. The other team he played shortly was Grupo Eleyco Baskonia B team (EBA).
Last year, he was drafted by the Birmingham Squadron (G-League) in the first round (6th overall).
Savkov also represented Russia at the European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) U16 Division B in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) six years ago. Savkov’s team won Gold and he had almost 16 points per game.
He has played previously in Spain between Fuenlabrada, Azpeitia Juaristi Iraurgi Saski Baloia, and Fundacion 5 plus 11 Baskonia U19 team, and during Russia (Gloria).
His team finished as the runner-up in the regular season of the Spanish Liga Endesa in 2023.
