Here is the weekly review of the top performing Israeli players, who play currently abroad.
#1. This week’s number one is former international power forward Tomer Ginat (202-1994, agency: Avi Zilberman, currently plays in EuroCup). He led his French team Metropolitans to a victory against the league leader Joventut (13-4) 86-78 in the Eurocup in Wednesday night’s game.
Ginat recorded 17 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 28 minutes on the court.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Boulogne-Levallois Metropolitans (11-6) is placed third in the Eurocup.
His team will play only one more game in the Eurocup Regular Season. And that game will be critical.
This year Ginat averages: 9.5ppg, 5.9rpg, 1.8apg, 2FGP: 55.8%(48-86), 3FGP: 30.4% and FT: 75.8% in 15 games he played so far.

#2. Second place goes to former international small forward Yovel Zoosman (198-1998, currently plays in Euroleague). Zoosman led his German team ALBA Berlin to a victory over the closely-ranked Fenerbahce (9-16) 66-57 in the Euroleague last Tuesday.
He was MVP of the game. Zoosman scored 20 points.
ALBA Berlin (11-14) is placed tenth in the Euroleague.
There are only two games left until the end of the Euroleague Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial.
Zoosman’s overall stats this season are: 6.9ppg, 3.0rpg, 1.2apg, 2FGP: 46.1%, 3FGP: 42.5% and FT: 67.4%.

#3. The Israeli player who performed third best last week abroad was former international shooting guard Deni Avdija (206-2001, currently plays in NBA). Avdija was the major contributor in a 3-point Washington Wizards‘ victory against the Detroit Pistons (20-56) 100-97 in the NBA on Friday night.
He had a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 10 rebounds. Avdija also added 4 assists in 32 minutes.
The Washington Wizards have 33-43 record this season.
Avdija has relatively good stats this year: 8.1ppg, 5.2rpg, 1.9apg, 2FGP: 51.9%, 3FGP: 31.6% and FT: 76.3% in 76 games.

#4. Guard Max Heidegger (191-1997, college: UCSB, currently plays in Germany) was the main contributor in a 3-point EWE Baskets‘ victory against the closely-ranked Bayreuth 74-71 in the German BBL in Wednesday night’s game.
Heidegger was the best player in that game. He scored 23 points and added 7 assists; quite an impressive performance considering it’s only Heidegger’s first season in pro basketball. EWE Baskets Oldenburg (7-8) is placed fifth in the BBL.
Heidegger has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 18.5ppg, 2.3rpg and 4.8apg.

#5. Former international point guard Yam Madar (190-2000, agency: Octagon Europe, currently plays in ABA League). Madar could not help Partizan NiS (19-4) to beat KK Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana (15-7).
He scored 7 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 4 assists.
Partizan NiS was edged 81-79 on the road by the lower-ranked KK Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana (#4).
They ended the series of six consecutive victories.
There are only two games left until the end of the ABA League Regular Season. So now every game will be important.
Madar’s overall stats this season are: 6.5ppg, 2.2rpg and 2.0apg.

#6. An experienced center Alex Tyus (203-1988, college: Florida, currently plays in Turkey) managed to help Pinar Karsiyaka SK Izmir in a 2-point victory against the league leader Fenerbahce (20-5) 74-72 in the Turkish BSL in Sunday night’s game.
Tyus scored 5 points in 19 minutes.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Pinar Karsiyaka SK Izmir (16-8) is placed fourth in the BSL.
This year Tyus’ overall stats are: 7.4ppg, 5.1rpg and 1.5apg in 17 games.
He is a naturalized American.
Tyus is a former international player as he played for the Israeli senior team year ago.

#7. Former international point guard Naor Sharon (193-1995, currently plays in Iceland) contributed to a 3-point Grindavik‘s victory against the closely-ranked IR (7-14) 89-86 in the Icelandic Subway League last Friday.

Real Canoe NC Madrid (10-12) is placed ninth in East group.
There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season.
Levy’s total stats this season are: 8.4ppg and 5.4rpg.

#1. Experienced Adrian Banks (191-SG-1986, college: Arkansas St., currently plays in Italy) could not help Trieste in their last game. Despite his very good performance his team was edged 75-74 on the road by the lower-ranked (#3) Trento.
Banks was the top scorer with 22 points (went 5 for 5 at the free throw line) in 33 minutes; not bad, considering it’s only his first season in pro basketball. Banks has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 15.7ppg, 4.1rpg and 3.9apg in 21 games he played so far.
Banks is a naturalized American.
He used to play for Elitzur Netanya in Israeli league.
#2. Jonathan Peleg (191-G-1994, currently plays in Sweden) was not able to help Umea in their game against Norrkoping Dolphins (27-5) in the Swedish Basketligan.
Peleg scored 5 points and added 4 assists in 26 minutes.
Umea lost 77-85 in Norrkoping to the leading Dolphins.
It was Umea’s fifth consecutive loss in a row.
This year Peleg’s total stats are: 5.2ppg, 1.8rpg and 2.0apg in 12 games.

#3. Leo Cizmic (205-F-1998, currently plays in Spain) managed to help Grupo Alega Cantabria Torrelavega in a victory against the 14th-ranked Marbella (7-16) 74-70 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) last Saturday.
Cizmic scored only 2 points in 15 minutes.

#4. Joshua Djanogly (207-F/C-1998, college: McGill, currently plays in Germany) was not able to secure a victory for Wolfenbuettel (7-6) in their game against Rendsburg (15-11) in the German Regionalliga (fourth division). Djanogly cannot count Saturday’s game as one of the best ones.
He scored only 3 points and grabbed 4 rebounds.
The fourth-placed Wolfenbuettel (7-6) was crushed 91-60 on the opponent’s court by the lower-ranked Rendsburg (#5) in the North group.
The Regular Season already ended.
Djanogly has reliable stats this season: 11.6ppg, 8.9rpg and 1.8apg.
He has both British and Israeli nationalities.
