Defending champion AS Monaco Basket (Betclic ELITE ProA) tabbed 27-year old Turk international 201cm swingman Furkan Korkmaz for new season. Korkmaz has played for the last six years at Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA. In 35 games he had just 2.5ppg last season.
In 2016 he was drafted by Philadelphia 76ers (NBA) in first round (26th overall).
He has been also a member of Turkish international program for some years. Korkmaz has regularly played for Turkish senior team since 2015 and previously for U20 National Team back in 2017.
He represented Turkey at the European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) seven years ago. His stats at that event were 6 games: 10.5ppg, 2.0rpg, 1.5apg, 1.2spg, FGP: 66.7%, 3PT: 33.3%, FT: 84.2%.
Korkmaz has played previously professionally in Turkey (Efes, Bakirkoy, Bandirma and Pi Koleji) and NBA G League (Delaware Blue Coats). His team won Turkish Cup in 2015 and 2017. He was voted to Turkish League All-Star Game back in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
