Konya BBSK (TB2L) signed 24-year old forward Muhammet Kalkan (203cm-2000) for upcoming 2024-25 season. Kalkan played last season at Sigortam.net in the TBL. In 22 games he had 6.6ppg, 3.1rpg and 1.6apg. TB2L will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time. He helped them to make it to the Turkish TBL final after they ended regular season as second best team. Kalkan also played for Samsun (BSL). He contributed to his team making it to the Turkish TBL final after they ended regular season as second best team.
Kalkan has played previously for four other teams: Bornova, Ankaragucu, Darussafaka and Fethiye.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he won Turkish TBL championship title in 2023. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Turkish U19 League Honorable Mention back in 2019.
