ASP Promitheas Patras (GBL) added to their roster 26-year old international point guard Michalis Lountzis (195cm-1998). It is actually his comeback to Patras as he has played here before. He was about to sign at Olympiacos in the GBL. He has played there for the last four years.
Lountzis has also been a member of the Greek international program for some years. He has regularly played for the Greek senior team since 2018 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2018.
Lountzis represented Greece at the FIBA World Cup in Philippines-Japan-Indonesia last year. During this event he scored an average of 4 points per game and had 2.2 rebounds per game.
He has played previously for four other teams: Panathinaikos, Trikala, Lavrio, and Kymis.
Lountzis won the Greek Supercup in 2023 among many awards. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) U20 Honorable Mention in 2018.
