Bahcesehir Koleji Istanbul (BSL) strengthened their roster with addition of 23-year old Turk international 193cm point guard Omer Ilyasoglu for season 2024-25. Ilyasoglu played most recently at BC Mega MIS Beograd in Serbian KLS league. In three games he recorded 7.7ppg, 1.7rpg, 4.0apg and 1.0spg last season. His team made it to the semifinals. He also played 27 games in ABA League where he averaged 8.6ppg, 1.7rpg and 4.2apg.
The most of previous (2022-23) season he spent at Besiktas Fibabanka Istanbul in Turkish BSL. In 15 games he had 3.2ppg and 1.3apg in that year. Ilyasoglu helped them to win the cup. The other team he played shortly was Efes in Turkish BSL. In 7 games he got 6.1ppg, 1.0rpg and 3.1apg in that year. He also played 3 games in Euroleague, but he did not score anything and had only 1 rebound and 1 assist.
Ilyasoglu has been also a member of Turkish international program for some years. He has regularly played for Turkish senior team since 2021 and previously for U17 National Team back in 2018.
Ilyasoglu represented Turkey at the European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) U18 in Greece five years ago. His team won Silver and his stats at that event were 6 games: 3.3ppg, 3.0rpg, 3.0apg, 1.3spg.
He has played previously for Bursaspor.
Among many awards he was voted Eurobasket.com All-Turkish U19 League Guard of the Year back in 2019.
