Balikesir Buyuksehir Belediyespor (TBL) inked 28-year old American 179cm point guard Luwane Pipkins (college: Providence) for upcoming season. Pipkins is the second import player in the roster as Canadian Elijah Lufile signed here earlier.
He played most recently at Spisski Rytieri in Slovakian Nike SBL. In 44 games he averaged 11.8ppg, 3.1rpg, 2.5apg and 2.0spg (in top 5) last season. He helped them to make it to the Slovakian League final. He also played 8 games in Alpe Adria Cup where he had very impressive stats: 15.6ppg, 4.6rpg, 3.4apg and 1.8spg.
Pipkins is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Georgia (Rustavi), Portugal (Galitos-Barreiro), North Macedonia (Gostivar), Czech Republic (Olomoucko) and The Basketball Tournament (Commonwealth).
Among many awards he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Georgian League Honorable Mention in 2022.
Pipkins graduated from Providence College in 2020 and it will be his fifth season in pro basketball. He played also for University of Massachusetts for 3 years.
