OGM Ormanspor Genclik Ankara (TBL) inked 27-year old 205cm power forward Ercan Bayrak for upcoming season. Bayrak played most recently at Cayirova in TB2L. He helped his team get promotion to TBL. In 30 games he recorded 5.5ppg and 3.8rpg last season.
The previous (2022-23) season he played at Yalovaspor where in 33 TBL games he averaged 6.2ppg and 3.0rpg in that year. Bayrak contributed to his team making it to the Turkish TBL final.
He represented Turkey at the European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) U18 in Volos (Greece) nine years ago. Bayrak’s team won Silver and his stats at that event were 8 games: 5.8ppg, 4.0rpg, FGP: 56.3%, 3PT: 33.3%, FT: 80.0%.
Bayrak has played previously for five other teams: Turk Telekom, Fenerbahce, Samsun, Ankaragucu and Konyaspor.
Among many awards he was voted to Eurobasket.com Turkish TBL All-Newcomers Team back in 2019.
