Vikos Ioanninon (National League 1) agreed terms with 32-year old ex-international center Vasilis Kavvadas (205cm-1991) for new 2024-25 season. Kavvadas played last season at GS Lavrio Aegean Cargo in the GBL. In 14 games he had 5.4ppg and 2.9rpg. National League 1 will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time.
He was a member of Greek international program for some years. Kavvadas was called to Greek Senior National Team between 2012 and 2022 and previously for U18 National Team back in 2009.
He has spent his entire career in Greece playing for eight other teams: Panathinaikos, Aris, Panionios, AEK Athens, Iraklis, Ionikos Nikaias, Maroussi and Arkadikos. His team made it to the Greek Cup Finalist in 2017 and 2022 final. Kavvadas was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Greek A1 League Honorable Mention back in 2012 and 2017.
