AE Doxa Lefkadas (Elite League) inked 28-year old 206cm forward Ilias Theodorou (college: Pacific) for upcoming season. Theodorou played most recently at Mykonou in Greek National League 1. In 11 Elite League games he recorded 5.2ppg and 2.3rpg last season. He also played for Panerythraikos that season where in 10 Elite League games he averaged 8.1ppg and 3.6rpg.
Theodorou represented Greece at the European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) U20 in Lignano Sabbiadoro (Italy) nine years ago. His stats at that event were 9 games: 5.2ppg, 5.4rpg, FGP: 38.1%, 3PT: 37.5%, FT: 50.0%.
He has played previously for three other teams: Maroussi, Psychikou and AO Triton.
Theodorou graduated from University of Pacific in 2018 and it will be his seventh season in pro basketball.

Ilias consider being the most talented players in the power forward position born in 1995 in the whole country. It’s called by the Greek media the next big thing in the Greek Basketball. Solid Power forward with fast moves and accurate basketball characteristics with an outstanding peripheral shot, he was among the last players joined forces with Panathinaikos in the summer of 2012 but he very soon became starter and was among the top players in the finals of the Greek U20 competition. In Summer of 2013 decided to move forward to the States and a prep school, he is of a very good material and he has above average Basketball IQ, he will make it to pro and if he works out his body (muscles and strength) together with his defense he will be coming back from the States and will be a wanted player in the European courts..
