Defending champion Panathinaikos Athens (GBL) kept 23-year old Polish international center Aleksander Balcerowski (218cm-2000) on their roster. Last season, he played for Panathinaikos in Greek GBL, averaging 6.2ppg and 3.8rpg in 26 games. He helped them win the league title and they also played in the Supercup final. Balcerowski also played 24 games in Euroleague, averaging 2.8ppg and 1.3rpg. He contributed to his team winning the Euroleague championship despite finishing the regular season in second place.
Balcerowski has also been a member of the Polish international program for some years. He has regularly played for the Polish senior team since 2017 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2020.
Balcerowski represented Poland at the FIBA Olympic Games Qualifying Tournament in Valencia (Spain) this year. During this event he scored an average of 11.5 ppg and had 3.5 rpg.
He has played professionally in Serbia (BC Mega MIS Beograd) and during the NBA Summer League (Boston Celtics).
Among many awards, he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-EuroCup Honorable Mention in 2023.
