Defending champion Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana (Liga Nova KBM) added to their roster 26-year old American guard DeVante Jones (183cm-1998, college: Michigan) for new 2024-25 season. Jones played last season at Le Mans Sarthe Basket in French Betclic ELITE ProA. In 33 games he was league’s second best scorer with impressive 15.9ppg and averaged 2.5rpg, 5.2apg (top 5) and 1.3spg. A very impressive season as he was named to French ProA All-Star Game, League Player of the Week and Eurobasket.com All-French Betclic Elite ProA Second Team. He also played 7 games in Basketball Champions League where he had 12.3ppg, 2.1rpg and 4.9apg.
The previous (2022-23) season he played at Metropolitans (Betclic ELITE ProA). In 41 games he recorded 7.9ppg, 2.5rpg, 4.4apg and 1.1spg in that year. Jones helped them to make it to the French ProA final after they ended regular season as second best team. Good year as he was also here named League Player of the Week.
He was also voted All-Sun Belt Player of the Year back in 2021.
Jones graduated from University of Michigan in 2022 and it will be his third season as a professional player. He played also for Coastal Carolina College for 3 years.
