LDLC ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (Betclic ELITE ProA) inked 32-year old American ex-international 206cm center Tarik Black (college: Kansas) for upcoming season. Black played most recently at Unahotels Reggio Emilia in Italian Serie A. In 15 games he averaged 9.1ppg and 4.4rpg last season. He helped them to make it to the Italian Cup Semifinals.
The previous (2022-23) season he played at Olympiacos in Greek GBL where in 19 games he had 8.8ppg and 4.0rpg in that year. Black contributed to his team winning the league title. He also played 35 games in Euroleague where he recorded 4.4ppg and 1.7rpg in that year. Black contributed to his team winning the regular season and make it to the final.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2015. Black was a member of USA Senior National Team two years ago.
He is a very experienced player. Black has played also professionally in Israel (Maccabi Tel Aviv), Russia (Zenit), Turkey (Bahcesehir), NBA (Houston Rockets and LA Lakers), Serbia (Crvena Zvezda), NBA G League (South Bay Lakers and Grand Rapids Gold) and NBA Summer League (Denver Nuggets).
He graduated from University of Kansas in 2014 and it will be his eleventh (!!!) season in pro basketball. Black played also for University of Memphis for 13 years.
