Ratiopharm Ulm (BBL) signed 21-year old Brazilian international power forward Marcio Santos (204cm-111kg-2002) for upcoming 2024-25 season. Santos played last season at Sesi Franca in Brazilian NBB league. In 49 games he had 12.9ppg, 6.4rpg and 1.0apg. He helped them to win the league title despite they ended the regular season at the second place. 2023-24 was a great year as he was named to Brazilian All-Star Game and Latinbasket.com All-Brazilian League Second Team. Santos also played 8 games in BCL Americas where he recorded 12.9ppg, 6.1rpg, 2.0apg and 1.4spg.
He was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Brazilian LDB U20 Forward of the Year back in 2019 and 2021.
The previous (2023) summer he played at the Hawks in NBA. In only one game he averaged just 2 points and 6 rebounds in 2023 year.
He has been also a member of Brazilian international program for some years. He has regularly played for Brazilian senior team since 2020 and previously for U17 National Team back in 2019.
Santos represented Brazil at the Panamerican Games in Santiago (Chile) last year.
