Lenovo Tenerife (Liga Endesa) agreed terms with 26-year old American guard Payton Willis (193cm-91kg-1998, college: Minnesota) for new 2024-25 season. Willis played last season at Giorgio Tesi Group Pistoia in Italian Serie A. In 33 games he had very impressive stats: 15.7ppg, 3.9rpg and 2.2apg. 2023-24 was a great season as he was named to Eurobasket.com Italian SerieA All-Imports Team and League Player of the Week.
He has played also professionally in Israel (Hapoel Gilboa Galil).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team made it to the SEC Tournament Semifinals in 2017. Willis was voted to All-Big Ten Honorable Mention in 2022.
He graduated from University of Minnesota in 2022 and it will be his third season as a professional player. Willis played for other colleges like: College of Charleston, Vanderbilt University.
