Defending champion AX Armani Exchange Milano (Serie A) strengthened their roster with addition of 23-year old Argentinian international 198cm swingman Leandro Bolmaro for season 2024-25. Bolmaro played most recently at Bayern in German BBL league. The team played in three different competitions (!!!) that year, and he had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. In 41 BBL games he recorded 7.7ppg, 2.7rpg and 2.8apg last season. He helped them to win the league title and the cup. Bolmaro also played 30 games in Euroleague where he averaged 8.4ppg, 2.8rpg, 3.4apg and 1.0spg.
The previous (2022-23) season he played at Lenovo Tenerife in Spanish Liga Endesa. In 16 games he got 6.0ppg and 2.0rpg in that year. He also played 7 games in Basketball Champions League where he got 6.0ppg and 1.6rpg in that year. Bolmaro contributed to his team making it to the semifinals. The other team he played that season for were the Jazz in NBA. But in 14 games he got just 0.4ppg in that year. Another team he played that season for was Stars in U.S. NBA-G-League. In 14 games he got 11.2ppg, 4.7rpg and 4.9apg in that year.
In 2020 he was drafted by New York Knicks (NBA) in first round (23rd overall).
He has been also a member of Argentinian international program for some years. Bolmaro has regularly played for Argentinian senior team since 2021 and previously for U19 National Team back in 2019.
He represented Argentina at the Olympic Games in Tokyo (Japan) three years ago. His stats at that event were 4 games: 2.0ppg, 1.0rpg.
Bolmaro is a very experienced player. Thanks to Bolmaro’s pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America) in four different countries. He has played previously professionally in Spain (FC Barcelona and FC Barcelona Lassa 2nd team), NBA (Minnesota Timberwolves), NBA G League (SLC Stars and Iowa Wolves) and Argentina (Bahia).
