Pinar Karsiyaka SK Izmir (BSL) signed 26-year old American forward Damien Jefferson (196cm-100kg-1997, college: Creighton, agency: Octagon Europe) for upcoming 2024-25 season. Jefferson played last season at Filou Oostende in Belgian Pro Basketball League. He managed to play in three leagues last year. The team played in three different competitions (!!!) that year, and he was exposed to basketball on different levels. In 10 Pro Basketball League games he was league’s fourth best scorer with impressive 16.6ppg and averaged 6.5rpg (#4 in the league), 2.3apg and 1.4spg (in top 4). Jefferson helped them to win the league title (in both Belgian League and BNXT League Group B !!!). 2023-24 was a great season as he was voted Eurobasket.com All-Belgian Pro Basketball League Player of the Year. He also played 32 games in BNXT League where he had very remarkable stats: 16.6ppg, 5.9rpg and 2.5apg. 2023-24 was a great season as he was selected Eurobasket.com All-BNXT League Player of the Year, Import Player of the Year and Finals MVP. And finally he contributed to 9 games in Basketball Champions League where he recorded 14.7ppg, 5.8rpg, 2.8apg and 1.6spg. Good season as he was named League Player of the Week.
The previous (2022-23) season he played at Hustle in U.S. NBA-G-League. In 42 games he got 10.4ppg, 4.6rpg and 1.2apg in that year.
Jefferson has played previously professionally in other USA team and NBA G League (Stockton Kings).
He graduated from Creighton University in 2021 and it will be his fourth season as a professional player. Jefferson played also for University of New Mexico for one year.
