Tofas Bursa (BSL) signed 29-year old ex-international power forward Berk Demir (204cm-1995) for upcoming 2024-25 season. Demir played last season at Darussafaka (BSL). In 29 games he had 7.2ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.3apg. He also played 9 games in Basketball Champions League where he recorded 6.4ppg, 5.6rpg and 1.0apg.
The previous (2022-23) season he played at Turk Telekom. In 30 BSL games he averaged 3.4ppg, 2.3rpg and 1.0apg in that year. Demir helped them to win the regular season and make it to the semifinals. He also played 20 games in Eurocup where he got 3.2ppg and 1.9rpg in that year.
Demir was also a member of Turkish international program for some years. He played for Turkish Senior National Team between 2021 and 2022 and previously for U18 National Team back in 2013.
Demir represented Turkey at the European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) U20 in Lignano Sabbiadoro (Italy) nine years ago. His team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 9 games: 2.3ppg, 2.0rpg.
He has played previously for two other teams: Efes and Bakirkoy.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Turkish TBL Honorable Mention back in 2016.
