Bahcesehir Koleji Istanbul (BSL) added to their roster 28-year old American center Tai Odiase (206cm-109kg-1995, college: UIC) for new 2024-25 season. Odiase played this summer at Piratas de Quebradillas in Puerto Rican BSN league. He managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year. In 17 BSN games just recently he had very impressive stats: 18.1ppg, 6.9rpg, 1.6apg and 1.6bpg. The last season he played at Prometey in Ukrainian league where in 20 Eurocup games he recorded 10.0ppg and 4.0rpg. Odiase helped them to make it to the quarterfinals. He also played 33 games in Lat-Est BL where he averaged 13.8ppg, 4.7rpg and 1.0bpg.
Odiase is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit three different continents, while he played in seven different countries. He tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Latin America and of course North America. Odiase has played previously professionally in Germany (BG Goettingen and EWE Baskets), Greece, Italy (Brescia), Spain, Dominican Republic (Mauricio Baez), NBA G League (Greensboro Swarm) and The Basketball Tournament (GCG and Gutter Cats). He won Latvian-Estonian Basketball League championship title in 2024. Odiase was voted to Horizon League All-Defensive Team back in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
He graduated from University of Illinois at Chicago in 2018 and it will be his seventh season as a professional player.
