LDLC ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (Betclic ELITE ProA) signed 25-year old center Neal Sako (210cm-1998) for upcoming 2024-25 season. Sako has played for the last two years at Cholet Basket in the Betclic ELITE ProA. In 37 games he had 11.9ppg, 7.6rpg (#3 in the league) and 1.6apg last season. 2023-24 was a great year as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-French Betclic Elite ProA Honorable Mention, All-Domestic Players Team and League Player of the Week (2 times). He also played 17 games in Basketball Champions League where he recorded 10.9ppg, 8.1rpg and 1.2apg. Good season as he was also here named League Player of the Week (2 times).
Sako has played previously for three other teams: Metropolitans, Chalons Reims and Levallois.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team made it to the FIBA Europe Cup final in 2023. He was voted to Eurobasket.com French ProA All-Domestic Players Team in 2022.
