The most interesting game of round 11 was a derby match between two teams from Kosovo. The game took place in Therande where first ranked Ylli won against visiting Rahoveci (4-7) 91-80. Ylli looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Rahoveci’s players. The best player for the winners was Albanian-Kosovan swingman Erjon Kastrati (197-1994) who scored 28 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Croatian forward Henrik Sirko (199-1993) chipped in 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Montenegrin point guard Ivan Koljevic (188-1984, agency: BIG) produced 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the guests. Ylli (9-1) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending Kosovan champion maintains first place. Rahoveci at the other side keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. Ylli are looking forward to face Kamza (#7) in Tirana in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Rahoveci will play at home against Vllaznia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Kristi Gorea contributed with 16 points and 5 assists for the winners. Teuta’s coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Matthew Eldridge (203-1996, college: Lindsey Wilson) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds for Kamza. Defending Albanian champion maintains fourth place with 6-4 record. Kamza lost their ninth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh position with nine games lost. They share it with Vllaznia. Teuta will play against Tirana (#5) on the road in the next round. Kamza will play against the league’s leader Ylli and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Shkodra supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Kosovan Prizreni-16 (7-4) played at the court of 7th ranked Albanian Vllaznia (2-9). Prizreni-16 smashed Vllaznia 94-62 on Thursday. It was a great evening for Darrell Davis who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Charleston Dobbs responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Prizreni-16 maintains third place with 7-4 record having just one point less than leader Ylli. Loser Vllaznia dropped to the bottom position with nine games lost. They share it with Kamza. Prizreni-16 will meet at home league’s second-placed Peja in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Vllaznia will play against Rahoveci (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
In the last game of round 11 Tirana was defeated by Peja in a road game 89-78.

There was no surprise when 5th ranked Albanian Tirana (5-6) was defeated on the road by second ranked Kosovan Peja (8-3) 89-78 on Thursday. It was a great evening for Polish-Kosovan Dardan Berisha (190-1988) who led his team to a victory scoring 30 points and 5 assists. American swingman Courtney Fells (199-1986, college: NC State) helped adding 16 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks. American point guard Reggie Clark (178, college: RWC) responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds and Julian Hamati produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds. Five Peja and four Tirana players scored in double figures. Peja maintains second place with 8-3 record behind leader Ylli. Loser Tirana keeps the fifth position with six games lost. Peja will meet Prizreni-16 (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Tirana will play against Teuta and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
