Fos-Provence’s fans can celebrate the first win of their team after two consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Orleans (0-3) 88-63 on Friday. Fos-Provence made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 25 Orleans turnovers and outrebounded them 36-25 including 22 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Guinean forward Ousmane Kaba (195-2) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Yannivk Aguero (196-1) contributed with 21 points and 4 assists for the winners. Noah Bolanga (199-3) replied with 13 points for Orleans. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fos-Provence (1-2) left bottom position moving up to twelfth place, which they share with Strasbourg. It was Orleans’ third loss in a row. They still close the standings with three games lost. Fos-Provence is looking forward to face Nanterre (#17) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Orleans will play against the league’s second-placed Levallois having rather not much hope for a victory.
Bottom-ranked Monaco is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to eleventh ranked Dijon (2-1) 87-55. Worth to mention a great performance of Ilias Kamardine (193-3) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals and Arthur Simon who added 15 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Monaco Vincent Vermillac (192-1) responded with 12 points and 5 rebounds. Monaco’s coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Dijon moved-up to eighth place. Monaco at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Nanterre and Paris BA. Dijon will play against higher ranked Roanne (#7) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Monaco will play against Pau-Lacq-Orthez (#11) and hopes to get finally their first victory.

Other games in round 4 were not that significant. Gravelines lost to undefeated Levallois on the road 74-81. Cholet destroyed Paris BA on its own court 101-38. Pau-Lacq-Orthez unfortunately lost to Le Mans in a road game 87-93. Roanne managed to beat Limoges CSP at home 86-75. ASVEL crushed Strasbourg on the opponent’s court 92-66. Chalons-Reims beat Le Portel in a home game 80-65.
The most impressive performance of 4th round was 24 points and 12 rebounds by Thomas Hanquiez of Le Portel.

Monaco – Dijon 55-87

Bottom-ranked Monaco is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to eleventh ranked Dijon (2-1) 87-55. They made 22-of-27 charity shots (81.5 percent) during the game. Dijon forced 32 Monaco turnovers.
