SDP Ponferrada Clinic (LEB Silver) re-signed 21-year-old Argentinian-Italian 193cm guard Silvano Merlo for the new season. He played there last season. In 27 LEB Silver games, he averaged 10.0ppg, 4.6rpg, 3.7apg, and 1.6spg. The previous (2022-23) season, he played at another Spanish team Zunder Palencia (LEB Gold). He also played for another Spanish team Filipenses (EBA).
Merlo was a member of the Argentinian U19 National Team in 2021.
He has played previously professionally also in Argentina (Ciclista).
His team reached the LEB Silver Play-Off Semifinals in 2021.
