There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in KLS. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most important game in the last round took place in Cacak between third ranked Vrsac (21-7) and eighth ranked Cacak 94 (14-14) on Wednesday night. Vrsac was defeated by Cacak 94 in a tough game on the road 90-94. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Vrsac. 29 personal fouls committed by Vrsac helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Naturalized Bosnian forward Stefan Lakic (201-1995, college: Samford) fired 28 points (made all of his ten free throws !!!) for the winners. Petar Grojic (195-2001) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Nelson Phillips (195-1998, college: Troy) produced 26 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals for lost side. Vrsac’s coach Lazar Spasic tried various players’ combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn’t help. Newly promoted Cacak 94 maintains eighth position with 14-14 record. Vrsac at the other side dropped to the fourth place with seven games lost. Cacak 94 are looking forward to face Metalac VL (#9) in Valjevo in the next round. Vrsac will play at home against OKK Beograd (#12) and is hoping to win this game.
Leader Vojvodina delivered the twenty fourth victory. This time they beat 16th ranked Zdravlje (5-23) 93-85 in Leskovac. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Tyrell Johnson (203-1997, college: App State) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Uros Banjac contributed with 19 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Vojvodina NS’s coach Milos Isakov-Kovacevic used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Jovan Djordjevic-Marinkovi (198-1993) replied with 21 points and 4 assists for Zdravlje. Vojvodina (24-4) have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Zdravlje lost third consecutive game. They stay dead last with 23 lost games. Vojvodina will play against Mladost (#13) in Zemun in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Zdravlje will play on the road against the league’s second-placed Spartak in Subotica and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Sombor was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Zlatibor (22-6) played at the court of 6th ranked Joker (15-13). Zlatibor managed to secure a 8-point victory 85-77 on Wednesday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Joker S.. Worth to mention a great performance of Milos Glisic who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side Rashun Davis responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals. Zlatibor have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Newly promoted Joker keeps the sixth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Radnicki KG. Zlatibor will meet at home Sloboda (#5) in the next round. Joker will play against Tamis PN in Pancevo and hope to secure a win.

Rest of the games of round 28 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Spartak crushed OKK Beograd in Subotica 90-66. Novi Pazar beat Tamis PN at home 86-78. Metalac VL lost to Radnicki KG on the opponent’s court 80-86. Sloboda outscored Dynamic VP in a home game 103-74. Mladost recorded a loss to Sloga on the road 91-80.
The best stats of 28th round was 26 points and 5 rebounds by Luka Gasic of Mladost ZE.


Cacak 94 – Vrsac 94-90

Joker S. – Zlatibor 77-85

OKK Beograd – Spartak 66-90

There was no surprise when 11th ranked OKK Beograd (10-18) was crushed at home by second ranked Spartak (23-5) 90-66 on Wednesday. Spartak dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to OKK Beograd‘s 34. They outrebounded OKK Beograd 41-28 including 28 on the defensive glass. Spartak looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Marko Tejic (209-1995) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all twelve shots !!!) and swingman Filip Barna (201-1999) who added 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Five Spartak players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Bogoljub Markovic (204-2005) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and guard Mihailo Petrovic (190-2003) scored 16 points and 6 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Spartak have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Newly promoted Spartak maintains second position with 23-5 record behind leader Vojvodina NS. Loser OKK Beograd keeps the eleventh place with 18 games lost. They share the position with Sloga. Spartak will meet at home bottom-ranked Zdravlje (#16) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. OKK Beograd will play against Vrsac (#4) and hope to secure a win.

There was a small surprise when fifteenth ranked Novi Pazar (7-21) defeated at home 13th ranked Tamis PN (9-19) 86-78 on Wednesday. Novi Pazar made 30-of-35 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Strangely Tamis PN outrebounded Novi Pazar 34-22 including 21 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Jerome Green Jr. (180-2002, college: Auburn) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 4 assists and Luka Vasic (203-1998, college: A&M-Commerce) who added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Novi Pazar’s coach Zoran Todorovic used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side swingman Branislav Terzic (196-1997, college: AIC) responded with 20 points and 7 rebounds and guard Djordje Rakocevic (188-1998) scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. Novi Pazar maintains fifteenth position with 7-21 record. Loser Tamis PN dropped to the fourteenth place with 19 games lost. Novi Pazar will meet at home higher ranked Sloga (#11) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Tamis PN will play against Joker and hope to secure a win.

Sloboda had a 26-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Sloboda especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists.
