Center Martin Svoboda (202-C-2001) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Sokol Pisek, receiving a Hoops Agents 1Liga Player of the Week award for round 3 (Second Stage).
The 20-year old player was the main contributor (32 points, nine rebounds) to his team’s victory, helping them to beat Ostrava (#6, 13-8) 101-86. Sokol Pisek maintains the 3rd position in their group in Czech Republic 1Liga. They are still close to the very top. Sokol Pisek would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 16-4 record. In the team’s last game Svoboda had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Sokol Pisek, through which he has constantly improved. Martin Svoboda has solid league stats. He is in league’s top in points (3rd best: 22.1ppg) and averages impressive 71.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round’s games was young Dominik Stepan (207-PF-1998) of Play-Out leader Polabi. Stepan had a very good evening with a double-double of 31 points and 18 rebounds. Of course he led Polabi to another comfortable win outscoring Prostejov (9-12) 125-73. The Second Stage is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let’s wait for the next round. Stepan is one of the most experienced players at Polabi and has a reputation of one of team’s most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Jalen Bradley (185-G-1993, agency: Haylett Sports) of league’s top team Slavia Praha. Bradley showcased his all-around game by recording 25 points, eight rebounds and seven assists in the last round. He was a key player of Slavia Praha, leading his team to a 117-80 easy win against Novy Jicin (#5, 14-7). Many experts and fans count Slavia Praha as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 20 victories and only one lost game. They are currently at the very top of the standings in Place 1-6. Bradley has a great season in Czech Republic. After 21 games, he made it on the list of the league’s leaders in points with 21.5ppg (4th best) and assists with 6.8apg (best passer). He also has 3.0spg, FGP: 57.7% and 3PT: 43.6%.
