The Regular Season in Superleague 2 is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 6 rounds. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
The game in Chelyabinsk was quite interesting. Second ranked Cheb.Yastreby (26-8) played at the court of 7th ranked Chelbasket (18-16). Cheb.Yastreby defeated Chelbasket 89-73 on Sunday. Cheb.Yastreby looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was point guard Pavel Koltsov (180-1994) who scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. point guard Sergey Krivykh (183-1998) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Andrey Loginov (204-1993) produced 9 points and 9 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cheb.Yastreby have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 26-8 record having just three points less than leader Tambov. Chelbasket at the other side dropped to the sixth place with 16 games lost. They share the position with BARS-RGEU. Cheb.Yastreby are looking forward to face league’s leader Tambov at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Chelbasket will play against Novomoskovsk (#8) in Tula and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Lipetsk. Local Mitsu B. (3-31) was outscored by ninth ranked Neftekhimik T. (12-24) 94-57. Guard Vladislav Lisovskiy (185-1996) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 assists. Egor Chernyshev contributed with 14 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Neftekhimik T.’s coach felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Konstantin Breev (195-1983) replied with 23 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) for Mitsu B.Neftekhimik T. maintains ninth position with 12-24 record. Mitsu B. lost twenty second consecutive game. They stay dead last with 31 lost games. Neftekhimik T. will play against higher ranked Dynamo-MGTU (#5) in Maykop in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Mitsu B. will play on the road against BARS-RGEU (#6) in Rostov and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Rest of the games of round 38 were very predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Novomoskovsk was defeated by Dynamo-MGTU in Maykop 86-72. Dynamo STV was smashed by Rusichi K. at home 88-114. BARS-RGEU lost to Metallurg MGN on the opponent’s court 65-79.
The best stats of 38th round was 12 points and 8 rebounds by Kirill Gornaev of Metallurg MGN.
Dynamo-MGTU – Novomoskovsk 86-72
There was no surprise in Maykop where 8th ranked Novomoskovsk (13-21) was defeated by fifth ranked Dynamo-MGTU (20-16) 86-72. Dynamo-MGTU players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Ilia Aleksandrov (194-1981) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 5 rebounds. Alexandr Milyutin (198-1997) contributed with 10 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Dynamo-MGTU players scored in double figures. Forward Stanislav Sotnikov (200-1985, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized Spanish power forward Dmitriy Flis (204-1984) added 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Novomoskovsk. Novomoskovsk’s coach rotated eleven players and allowed the starting five to rest. Dynamo-MGTU maintains fifth position with 20-16 record. Newly promoted Novomoskovsk keeps the eighth place with 21 games lost. Dynamo-MGTU will play against Neftekhimik T. (#9) in Tobolsk in the next round. Novomoskovsk will play at home against Chelbasket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
