We bring you last week’s top performances from Serbians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.
   #1. This week’s number one is former international point guard Vasilije Micic (196-1994, agency: BeoBasket, currently plays in Euroleague). He led his Turkish team Efes to a victory over the closely-ranked Maccabi Tel-Aviv (11-13) crushing them 109-77 in the Euroleague in Thursday night’s game.
Micic was MVP of the game. He had a double-double by scoring 20 points and making 10 passes in 28 minutes on the court.
Anadolu Efes Istanbul (13-12) is placed ninth in the Euroleague.
Micic has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 16.3ppg, 2.5rpg, 4.5apg, 1.2spg, 2FGP: 54.7%, 3FGP: 34.1% and FT: 87.9% in 22 games he played so far.
Micic played for the Serbian senior national team year ago.

   #2. Second place goes to former international guard Nemanja Nedovic (192-1991, currently plays in Euroleague). He was the main contributor in Panathinaikos‘ victory against the closely-ranked Crvena Zvezda (9-15) 79-73 in the Euroleague last Friday.
Nedovic was the best player in that game. He scored 25 points and added 5 assists.
Panathinaikos OPAP Athens (7-17) is placed 16th in the Euroleague.
Nedovic has relatively good stats this season: 12.5ppg, 1.9rpg, 2.9apg, 3FGP: 39.2% and FT: 82.1%.
He played for the Serbian national team in 22.

   #3. The Serbian player who performed third best last week abroad was former international swingman Marko Guduric (196-1995, also represented by BeoBasket, currently plays in Euroleague). Guduric could not help Fenerbahce (12-11) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Fenerbahce lost 78-92 on the road to the higher-ranked (#7) Monaco.
Guduric was the second best scorer with 18 points in 25 minutes.
They ended the series of five consecutive victories.
This year Guduric has relatively solid stats: 10.7ppg, 2.0rpg, 2.8apg, 2FGP: 56.5%(35-62), 3FGP: 41.3% and FT: 87.0% in 21 games.
He played for the Serbian national team year ago.

   #4. Center Nikola Jokic (213-1995, another player represented by BeoBasket, currently plays in NBA) was the major contributor in a Denver Nuggets‘ victory against the Sacramento Kings (22-39) 128-110 in the NBA in Thursday night’s game.
Jokic recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points and getting 12 rebounds. He also added 9 assists and 4 steals.
The Denver Nuggets have 34-25 record this season.
It was his team’s fourth consecutive victory in a row.
This season Jokic has very high stats. He averages: 26.0ppg, 13.7rpg, 7.9apg and 1.4spg.
Jokic used to play for the Serbian national team
back in 19.
   #5. Former international center Nikola Milutinov (213-1994, agency: Octagon Europe, currently plays in VTB United League) contributed to an easy victory against the sixth-ranked Lokomotiv (6-6) crushing them 91-71 in the VTB United League last Friday.
He recorded 13 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 23 minutes.
CSKA Moscow (11-4) is placed third in group A.
This year Milutinov’s overall stats are: 9.8ppg and 7.7rpg in 12 games.

   #6. Shooting guard Bogdan Bogdanovic (198-1992, currently plays in NBA) was not able to help the Atlanta Hawks (28-31) in their last game on Thursday. Despite Bogdanovic’s very good performance the Atlanta Hawks (28-31) were defeated 112-108 in Chicago by the Bulls.
He was the top scorer with 27 points. Bogdanovic also added 5 rebounds and 3 assists.
This season Bogdanovic has very high stats. He averages: 13.6ppg, 3.9rpg and 3.0apg.
Bogdanovic is a former international player as he played for the Serbian senior team year ago.

   #7. Former international guard Danilo Andjusic (194-1991, currently plays in France) contributed to an easy victory against the 12th-ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (9-11) 82-66 in the French Betclic ELITE ProA in Saturday night’s game.
He scored 12 points and added 3 assists in 21 minutes.
AS Monaco Basket (4-0) is placed first in the Betclic ELITE ProA.
So far his team won all four games in the Regular Season.
Andjusic has reliable stats this year: 11.4ppg, 1.6rpg and 1.9apg in 14 games.

   #8. Center Aleksej Pokusevski (213-2001, currently plays in NBA) was not able to secure a victory for the Oklahoma City Thunder (19-41) in their last game. Despite his good performance the Oklahoma City Thunder (19-41) was badly defeated 124-104 in Phoenix by the Suns.
Pokusevski recorded 13 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in a mere 19 minutes.
This year Pokusevski’s total stats are: 5.8ppg, 4.3rpg and 1.2apg in 44 games.
He used to play for the Serbian U18 national team
back in 19.
   #9. Former U20 international center Milos Jankovic (206-1994, agency: Mansfield and Associates, currently plays in Switzerland) contributed to a 1-point Fribourg‘s victory against the closely-ranked Massagno (14-4) 76-75 in the Swiss SBL last Saturday.
He recorded 13 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 20 minutes.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Fribourg Olympic (14-2) is placed first in the SBL.
It was his team’s seventh consecutive victory in a row.
Jankovic’s stats this year are: 10.8ppg, 6.6rpg and 1.5apg in 17 games.
He used to play for the Serbian U20 national team
years ago.

   #10. Center Filip Petrusev (211-2000, college: Gonzaga, currently plays in Euroleague) is a teammate of previously mentioned Vasilije Micic and both played together in the last Euroleague game.
Petrusev managed to help Anadolu Efes Istanbul to win against the closely-ranked Maccabi Tel-Aviv (11-13) crushing them 109-77.
He scored only 2 points.
Petrusev has averaged so far 5.4ppg and 1.8rpg.
He is a former international player as years ago he still played for the Serbian senior national team.

   #11. Former University international point guard Aleksa Nikolic (200-1995, college: Marshall, currently plays in LAT-EST BL) couldn’t help Tarvas in their game against Tartu in the KML. Despite his very good performance on Friday night Nikolic recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and getting 11 rebounds. He also added 8 assists.
Nikolic has averaged so far 5.4ppg and 1.8rpg.
He used to play for the Serbian university national team
years ago.

   #12. Former international forward Nemanja Krstic (205-1993, currently plays in Austria) couldn’t help Kapfenberg Bulls in their game against UBC St. Poelten in the Austrian BSL, despite his very good performance in Saturday night’s game.
Krstic had a double-double by scoring 22 points and getting 12 rebounds in 36 minutes.
But his team lost 63-73.
Krstic has very impressive stats this year: 17.8ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.8apg in 15 games.
He used to play for the Serbian national team
back in 14.

   #13. An experienced former international small forward Nemanja Bjelica (209-1988, currently plays in NBA) contributed to an easy victory against the Portland Trail Blazers crushing them 132-95 in the NBA on Thursday night.
Bjelica recorded 6 points and added 3 assists in only 9 minutes.
Bjelica has averaged so far 6.1ppg, 3.9rpg and 1.9apg in 54 games.
He used to play for the Serbian national team
years ago.

   #14. Former U20 international shooting guard Djordje Milosevic (199-1993, agency: PEPI SPORT, currently plays in France) contributed to an ALM Evreux‘s victory against the closely-ranked Sluc Nancy 90-78 in the French ProB (second division) last Sunday.
Milosevic scored 9 points and added 4 assists in 33 minutes.
Milosevic has very impressive stats this year: 15.8ppg, 5.6rpg, 4.4apg and 1.4spg in 20 games.
He used to play for the Serbian U20 national team
back in 13.

   #15. Former U20 international shooting guard Brano Djukanovic (196-1995, currently plays in Spain) contributed to an easy victory against the 11th-ranked Clavijo 76-61 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) on Saturday night.
Djukanovic was the top player that evening. He recorded 19 points and added 3 assists.
Djukanovic’s stats this season are: 13.0ppg, 1.5rpg, 1.5apg and 1.3spg.
He used to play for the Serbian U20 national team
years ago.

The list of other players, who all have Serbian passport but never been selected to any of Serbian national teams:

   #1. Experienced Milko Bjelica (207-F-1984, currently plays in Qatar) could not help one of league’s weakest teams Al Shamal (7-6) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Bjelica’s very good performance Al Shamal was crushed 92-71 in a derby game by the higher-ranked Al Arabi (#4).
He recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 14 rebounds. Bjelica also added 4 assists.
There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical.
Bjelica has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 28.0ppg and 7.3rpg.
Bjelica has a dual citizenship: Serbian and Montenegrin.

   #2. Stefan Sajin (205-PF-1993, currently plays in Croatia) was the major contributor in Skrljevo‘s victory against the tenth-ranked Alkar (6-15) 79-72 in the Croatian Premijer Liga in Sunday night’s game.
Sajin recorded 18 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.
BC Adria Oil Skrljevo (10-10) is placed sixth in the Premijer Liga.
It was his team’s first victory after three consecutive loses.
They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial.
Sajin has averaged so far 7.5ppg and 4.6rpg.

   #3. Aleksa Nikolic (205-PF-1999, currently plays in Italy) led Roseto to a victory over Cesena crushing them 98-65 in the Italian Serie B (third division) last Sunday.
He was the top player that evening. Nikolic scored 41 points (!!!), grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 31 minutes.
It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams. Pallacanestro Rosetois placed in Group C.
Nikolic has very impressive stats this year: 17.3ppg, 6.4rpg and 1.1spg in 20 games he played so far.
He is another player who holds two passports: Serbian and Italian.

   #4. Alexandre Gavrilovic (208-C-1991, college: Towson, currently plays in FIBA Europe Cup) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Sporting (4-2) 72-55 in the FIBA Europe Cup on Friday night.
Gavrilovic recorded 14 points; quite an impressive performance considering it’s only his first season in pro basketball. It was the game of the round between two top 2 ranked teams. CSM CSU Oradea (5-1) is placed first in group K.
It was his team’s third consecutive victory in a row.
There are only two games left until the end of the FIBA Europe Cup Second Stage. So now every game will be important.
Gavrilovic has averaged so far 9.7ppg and 4.1rpg.
He has both Serbian and French nationalities.
Despite Gavrilovic’s Serbian passport, he previously played for the French U20 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Serbian team.

   #5. Dusan Djordjevic (193-PG-1983, agency: BeoBasket, currently plays in BNXT-League) contributed to Oostende‘s victory against the ninth-ranked Spirou Charleroi 100-90 in the BNXT League in Sunday night’s game.
Djordjevic scored 6 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 8 assists in 23 minutes.
Filou Oostendeis placed fifth in the BNXT League.
Djordjevic has averaged so far 5.6ppg, 2.2rpg and 4.8apg in 18 games.

   #6. Filip Bogdanovic (1999, currently plays in Sweden) was not able to help Djurgarden (5-7) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance the third-placed Djurgarden was badly defeated 113-95 on the road by the lower-ranked Eskilstuna (#4) in the South group.
Bogdanovic recorded a double-double by scoring 27 points and getting 16 rebounds. He also added 3 assists and 3 steals.
This season Bogdanovic has very high stats. He averages: 17.6ppg, 11.3rpg, 4.4apg and 2.3spg.

   #7. Milos Koprivica (208-C-1995, also represented by BeoBasket, currently plays in Montenegro) contributed to a 3-point Sutjeska‘s victory against the league leader SC Derby 63-60 in the Montenegrin Erste Liga on Thursday night.
Koprivica scored 15 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 39 minutes.
Koprivica has averaged so far 8.8ppg, 4.7rpg and 1.5apg in 10 games.

   #8. Dalibor Djapa (205-F-1984, currently plays in Slovenia) was not able to secure a victory for one of league’s weakest teams Sentjur (6-12) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite his very good performance Sentjur was defeated 97-86 in Rogaska Slatina by the higher-ranked Rogaska (#6).
Djapa recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 11 rebounds.
Djapa’s stats this season are: 11.9ppg, 5.5rpg and 1.7apg.

   #9. Vuk Radojicic (183-PG-2001, agency: LUMANI 10.7, currently plays in Germany) couldn’t help one of league’s weakest teams one of league’s weakest teams Science City Jena (17-5) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Radojicic’s very good performance Science City Jena was defeated 89-85 in Rostock by the leading Seawolves.
He was the second best scorer with 16 points. Radojicic also added 7 passes.
Radojicic has averaged so far 4.0ppg, 1.7rpg and 2.9apg.

   #10. Marko Mladjan (205-PF-1993, currently plays in Switzerland) couldn’t help one of league’s weakest teams one of league’s weakest teams one of league’s weakest teams Massagno (14-4) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Massagno was edged 76-75 on the opponent’s court by the leading Fribourg.
Mladjan was the top scorer with 17 points. He also added 5 rebounds and 3 assists in 29 minutes.
Mladjan averaged so far 13.1ppg, 4.9rpg and 2.4apg in 14 games.
He also holds two passports: Serbian and Swiss.
