Canadian Thomas Kennedy (206-F-2000) had an amazing evening in the last round for Telekom Baskets Bonn and that’s him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 16.
The 23-year old forward had a double-double of 26 points and 15 rebounds, while his team lost the game against Chemnitz (#1, 14-2) 77-85. Telekom Baskets moved-up to the 8th position in German BBL. They would have been even better if they hadn’t lost a few games earlier this season. Bonn will need to avoid more loses keep or improve their 10-7 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Kennedy as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Thomas Kennedy averages this season 7.0ppg and 5.4rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round’s games was young Polish Aleksander Dziewa (207-C/F-1997) of Veolia Towers Hamburg. Dziewa impressed basketball fans with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course he led Hamburg Towers to another comfortable win 111-94 over the lower-ranked Rostock (#11, 6-9) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Hamburg to move up to 6th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 10-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. Dziewa is a newcomer at Hamburg and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team’s leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Bodie Hume (198-G-1999) of BG Goettingen (#16). Hume scored 26 points. Despite Hume’s great performance the BG Goettingen lost 85-106 to the higher-ranked Oldenburg (#10, 7-9). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Goettingen can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 3-11 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Hume has a very solid season. In 14 games in Germany he scored 14.0ppg. He also has 4.5rpg, a FGP of 63.6% and 3PT: 46.7%.

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it’s accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) – 2*BSAG – 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM – 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) – 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) – (FTA-FTM)
