Lenovo Tenerife (Liga Endesa) tabbed 28-year old former Spaniard international 211cm center Ilimane Diop. Diop started the season at Filou Oostende in Belgian Pro Basketball League. In 7 games he averaged 6.4ppg and 4.6rpg. He also played 11 games in BNXT League where he had 8.4ppg and 6.2rpg.
Diop was also a member of Spanish international program for some years. He played for Spanish Senior National Team between 2016 and 2018 and previously for U18 National Team back in 2013.
Diop represented Spain at the European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) U20 in Lignano Sabbiadoro (Italy) nine years ago. Diop’s team won Silver and his stats at that event were 10 games: 8.0ppg, 7.3rpg, Blocks-3(1.6bpg), FGP: 48.5%, FT: 77.8%.
He has played previously for five other Spain teams: Baskonia, Unicaja, Murcia, Gran Canaria and Alava. His team was regular season runner-up in Spanish Liga Endesa in 2017 and 2018.
