26-year old American forward Xavier Sneed (196-F-1997) had a very impressive game in the last round for Happy Casa Brindisi and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 15.
He had the game-high 28 points adding six rebounds for Brindisi in his team’s victory, helping them to beat Brescia (#2, 11-4) 88-79. Brindisi maintains the 16th position in Italian league. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked at the very bottom. They already lost 12 games and recorded just three victories. In the team’s last game Sneed had a remarkable four three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He turned to be Brindisi‘s top player in his first season with the team. Xavier Sneed averages this season 14.8ppg and 5.8rpg.
Second best performed player last round was Kevin Hervey (206-PF-1996) of Unahotels Reggio Emilia. He is American forward in his first season at Reggio Emilia. In the last game Hervey recorded an impressive double-double of 24 points and 12 rebounds. It was enough for Reggio Emilia to edge the higher-ranked Virtus BO (#3, 10-5) by 6 points 72-66. Despite this victory Reggio Emilia slide down in the standings to 7th position. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 9-6 record is not bad and everything may still change. Hervey is a newcomer at Reggio Emilia and quickly became one of team’s most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.3ppg (#6). He also registered 5.8 boards per game.
Third place about best performers goes to guard Nicolo Mannion (190-PG-2001) of Itelyum Varese (#12). Mannion got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for four assists. He was a key player of Openjobmetis Varese, leading his team to a 101-96 win against the lower-ranked Treviso (#15, 4-11). The chances of Varese ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 9 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Mannion could help Varese to bring them higher in the standings. Mannion has a very solid season. In 3 games in Italy he scored 25.0ppg. Nicolo Mannion has also Italian passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.
