Defending champion Canterbury Rams (NBL) agreed terms with 24-year old New Zealander-German ex-international small forward Takiula Fahrensohn (201cm-90kg-1999, college: Portland, agency: Haylett Sports) for upcoming 2024 season. Fahrensohn played last season at Medipolis Science City Jena in German ProA. In 23 games he had 4.3ppg and 1.8rpg.
He also represented New Zealand at the FIBA Asia Cup in Jakarta (Indonesia) two years ago. His team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 7 games: 11.7ppg, 2.6rpg, FGP: 53.3%, 3PT: 35.0%, FT: 72.7%.
Fahrensohn has played previously professionally in New Zealand (Tuatara).
He played in the final of New Zealand NBL in 2022.
Fahrensohn graduated from University of Portland in 2021 and it will be his third season as a professional player.
