This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked Lokomotiv-2 (16-8) to seventh ranked Samara-2 (12-12) 77-74 on Friday evening. Samara-2 made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 25 Lokomotiv-2 turnovers. Forward Egor Amosov (197-2008) fired 24 points and 4 steals for the winners. Center Nikita Kosyakov (205-2005) chipped in 14 points and 11 rebounds. Demid Tyulyubaev produced a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Samara-2 maintains seventh position with 12-12 record. Lokomotiv-2 at the other side dropped to the fifth place with eight games lost. Samara-2 are looking forward to face N.Novgorod-2 (#11) in Nizhny Novgorod in the next round. Lokomotiv-2 will have a break next round.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Khimki-2 (19-5) against tenth ranked UNICS-2 (7-15) on Friday night. Visiting Khimki-2 was defeated by UNICS-2 in Kazan 70-60. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Khimki-2. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Roman Ilyuk (185-2005) who helped to win the game recording 21 points. Nikita Ivanov contributed with 17 points for the winners. UNICS-2’s coach Andrei Kibenko used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Georgiy Shilokhvostov (190-2005) replied with 21 points for Khimki-2. UNICS-2 moved-up to ninth place. Khimki-2 at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. UNICS-2 will play against Avtodor-2 (#12) in Saratov in the next round. Khimki-2 will play on the road against Enisey-2 (#13) in Krasnoyarsk and hopes to get back on the winning track.

The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lokomotiv-2 moved-up to fifth place. Loser Samara-2 keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost. Lokomotiv-2 will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. N.Novgorod-2 looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Vladimir Semenchenko (193-2005) who helped to win the game recording 10 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists and guard Sergey Nikitin (189-2007) who added 20 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four N.Novgorod-2 players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Mikhail Stafeev (198-2005) responded with 21 points and forward Lev Svinin (204-2006, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) scored 12 points.
