35-year old guard Pawel Ciazkowski (190-G-1986) had a great game in the last round for Koscian and receives a Hoops Agents 2Liga Player of the Week award for round 24.
He had a double-double of 28 points and 10 rebounds, while his team crushed Stal Ostrow 2 (#13, 5-17) with 18-point margin 101-83. Koscian maintains the 8th position in their group in Polish 2Liga. Koscian is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 12-11 record. In the team’s last game Ciazkowski had a remarkable 91.7% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Koscian, through which he has constantly improved. Pawel Ciazkowski averages this season 16.0ppg and 8.0rpg.
Second best performed player last round was Michal Ignerski (207-F/C-1980) of Nysa. He is international forward in his first (recently joined) season at Nysa. In the last game Ignerski recorded impressive double-double of 39 points and 11 rebounds. Of course he led Nysa to another comfortable win outscoring slightly higher-ranked Zary (#5, 14-7) 100-69. Nysa’s 7th position in Group D has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 12-9 record is not bad and everything may still change. Ignerski is one of the most experienced players at Nysa and has a reputation of one of team’s most reliable players.
Third place about best performers goes to forward Damian Orebski (196-F-1997) of Zyrardow (#11). Orebski got into 30-points club by scoring 36 points in the last round. He went also for thirteen rebounds and four assists. He was a key player of Zyrardow, leading his team to a 92-76 easy win against slightly higher-ranked AZS UJK (#10, 8-14). The chances of Zyrardow not to end season at such low position in Group B, however are less than slim as they have already lost 15 games, recording just seven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Orebski could try to bring Zyrardow’s a little bit higher in the standings. Orebski has a very solid season. In 21 games in Poland he scored 12.7ppg.
