Hapoel Shlomo Tel-Aviv (Winner League) signed 31-year old American guard Dezmine Wells (196cm-98kg-1992, college: Maryland). Wells already started the season at Jilin Northeast Tigers in Chinese CBA league. In 10 games he had very impressive stats: 19.1ppg, 4.7rpg, 2.9apg and 1.0spg.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
Wells is quite experienced player. He has played in seven different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). Wells has played previously professionally in Greece (Doxa Lefkadas), Italy (Pesaro and Avellino), Philippines (SM Beermen), NBA (OKC Thunder), China (Jiangsu Dragons, Eagles and Guangsha Lions), NBA G League (OKC Blue) and The Basketball Tournament (Team CP3). His team made it to the CBA Semifinals in 2023. He was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Chinese CBA Honorable Mention in 2021 and 2022.
Wells graduated from University of Maryland in 2015 and it is his ninth season as a professional player. He played also for Xavier University for one year.
