Tritonas S. was defeated by Charilaos on the road 73-63. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Tritonas S.. Charilaos looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Naturalized Estonian point guard Sten-Timmu Sokk (184-1989, agency: 011 Sports) had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 assists to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Giannis Sachpatzidis (209-1993) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Karditsas maintains first position with 13-1 record. Agriniou lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 11 games lost. Karditsas will play against Panerythraikos (#10) in New Eritrea in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Agriniou will have a break next round.
Bottom-ranked Dafni (0-15) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their 15th consecutive match to sixth ranked Enosi Kavalas (10-6) 77-52 on Saturday evening. The best player for the winners was Spyridon Kapsalos who scored 21 points. Enosi Kavalas’ coach Nikos Pentazidis felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Ioannis Tsormpatzoglou who recorded 17 points and 8 rebounds. Enosi Kavalas maintains sixth position with 10-6 record. Loser Dafni still closes the standings with 15 games lost. Enosi Kavalas will meet Marousi (#9) in the next round. Dafni’s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Athens Psychiko.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 18: Marousi lost to Eleftheroupoli on the opponent’s court 85-89. Pagrati unfortunately lost to Amyntas D. in a home game 57-69. Filippos Veroias recorded a loss to Psychiko on the road 56-66.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 21 points and 12 rebounds by Manolis Matalliotakis of Psychiko.

Karditsas – Agriniou 80-51

A2 top team – Karditsas (13-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Agriniou (4-11) 80-51. Karditsas dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Agriniou’s 30. They outrebounded Agriniou 48-32 including 19 on the offensive glass. Eleftheroupoli – Marousi 89-85

Very expected game in Kavalas where 8th ranked Marousi (8-8) was defeated by third ranked Eleftheroupoli (12-4) 89-85 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Eleftheroupoli made 28-of-32 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Serbian swingman Jovan Djordjevic (198-1993) who scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Sokratis Naoumis (189-1997) chipped in 23 points.
