Newly promoted Samsun BSB Anakent (BSL) added to their roster 31-year old American center Michale Kyser (208cm-97kg-1991, college: La Tech). Kyser played last season at Surne Bilbao Basket in Spanish Liga Endesa. In 34 games he recorded 7.6ppg, 3.7rpg and 1.2bpg. He also played 12 games in Basketball Champions League where he averaged 9.3ppg, 4.6rpg, 1.0apg and 1.7bpg.
In 2019 (four years after his graduation) he was drafted by Lakeland Magic (G-League) in first round (10th overall).
The former Louisiana Tech University standout is in his ninth season in pro basketball.
Kyser is quite experienced player. Thanks to Kyser’s pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America) in eight different countries. He has played previously professionally in Canada (Surge), Cyprus (Enosis Neon Paralimni), Greece (Aris and Kymis), Israel (Hapoel Holon), Latvia (VEF Riga), Lebanon (Tadamon), NBA (Toronto Raptors) and NBA G League (SLC Stars, Raptors 905 Missisauga and Osceola Magic). Kyser was also voted to C-USA All-Defensive Team back in 2014 and 2015.
He won Israeli Premier League championship title in 2022.
