PAOK Mateco Thessaloniki (GBL) added to their roster 28-year old American guard Kendall Smith (190cm-86kg-1995, college: OK State). Smith already started the season at Cayirova in Turkish TBL league. In 8 games he recorded very impressive stats: 15.1ppg, 3.4rpg, 4.3apg and 2.0spg.
Last year (four years after his graduation) he was drafted by Main Celtics (G-League) in first round (29th overall).
He graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2018 and it will be his sixth season in pro basketball.
Smith is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Belgium (Okapi Aalst), Greece (Kolossos H Hotels Rodou), NBA G League (Santa Cruz Warriors, Stockton Kings, Maine Celtics and Westchester Knicks) and NBA Summer League (GS Warriors and GS Warriors).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he won NBA G League Pacific Division championship title in 2020. Smith was voted to All-Big West Honorable Mention back in 2016. He played for other colleges like: California State University Northridge, University of Nevada – Las Vegas.
