BARS-RGEU was defeated by Barnaul on the road 71-89. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of BARS-RGEU. Barnaul made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 BARS-RGEU turnovers. It was a good game for point guard Vladislav Ilinov (182-1999) who led his team to a victory with 29 points. Undefeated TSU have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-0 record. Dinamo V. at the other side keeps the third place with two games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. TSU will play against Irkut (#7) in Irkutsk in the next round where they are favorite. Dinamo V. will play on the road against Chelbasket (#9) in Chelyabinsk and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Bottom-ranked Rusichi K. is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their sixth consecutive match to ninth ranked CSKA-2 (3-3) 98-64 on Saturday evening. Filipp Gafurov notched 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort. Even 21 points by Gennady Denisov did not help to save the game for Rusichi K.. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. CSKA-2 moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Rusichi K. still closes the standings with six games lost. CSKA-2 will meet at home higher ranked Tambov (#5) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
