In a recent development, Minnesota Timberwolves’ rising star Anthony Edwards has been fined $50,000 by the NBA for a court-side incident that took place during the playoff game against the Denver Nuggets on April 25
The NBA Executive Vice President, Joe Dumars, revealed that Edwards had recklessly swung a chair in frustration as he exited the court, inadvertently striking two bystanders.
The league’s decision comes after a careful review, which was deferred until after a criminal investigation into Edwards’ conduct had concluded.
The charges against Edwards were ultimately dismissed last month, paving the way for the NBA’s decision to impose the fine.
