Anthony Davis had a nightmare 2021-22 season. The Los Angeles Lakers big man missed 42 games and played several others at less than 100%. It was the second consecutive injury-plagued season for Davis.
Despite it all, in a recently released video, Davis said that he hasn’t shot a basketball since his last game with the Lakers on April 5. The video appeared to be shot while Davis was spending time with friends outside of a home.
Davis helped Los Angeles to the 2020 championship and shortly thereafter signed a five-year, maximum deal to stay with the Lakers. Since then, he’s appeared in just 76 of 154 games over the last two seasons, due to a variety of lower-body injuries.
