Anfernee Simons has flourished in his fourth season with the Portland Trail Blazers. The 22-year-old shooting guard has more than doubled his numbers compared to last year.
He is averaging 17 points, 2.7 rebounds and 3.9 assists in 29.3 minutes per game this season. For comparison, Simons averaged 7.8 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 17.3 minutes per game.
Simons is in his final year of a four-year rookie deal. He does want to remain in Portland and says that the team wants him to stay too.

In Simons’s eyes, that means being a presence in Portland for years to come. “I 100% want to stay in Portland,” Simons says of his upcoming free agency. “And I think everybody wants me to stay as well. I think it’s a perfect fit for me.”
