Former Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Andre Miller revealed to Quentin Richardson & Darius Miles that he asked for a trade back in 2002 (dealt to the LA Clippers) because the team told him they were going to tank for LeBron James.

“It’s contract year, and basically the organization told me they was going to tank the season so they could get LeBron. So my agent was like, ‘You know Andre, you might as well ask for a trade.’ And I asked for a trade. Contract year. They ain’t gonna pay me nothing? Let me ask for a trade. And bam! I get traded home.”
