Al Horford Says Giannis Antetokounmpo Stare ‘Got Me Going’ Following Game 4 Win

Al Horford scored a playoff high 30 points in the Boston Celtics’ 116-108 win over the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 4 to even the series.

Horford, who scored 16 points in the fourth quarter, said he was motivated by Giannis Antetokounmpo’s technical foul in the third quarter. Antetokounmpo dunked on Horford and received a technical for his celebration.

“I didn’t make out what he said, but the way he looked at me didn’t sit well with me,” said Horford. “That got me going.”

Horford would return the favor by dunking on Antetokounmpo in the fourth, also receiving a technical after inadvertently hitting the Bucks superstar.

The Celtics scored 43 points in the final quarter, equaling the most fourth quarter points in franchise history.

The team also shot 84.2% from the field in the fourth, the highest percentage in a postseason quarter since at least the 1997-98 season.

Horford added that he was extra focused after what happened at the end of the Celtics Game 3 loss.

“I was just really locked in. I understood the moment and what we needed to do as a group. Just come out and we were gonna do whatever it took tonight. It was one of those types of nights,” said Horford.

Game 5 is on Wednesday.
