Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked Melilla (12-9) defeated on the road 9th ranked Albacete (9-12) 83-72 on Saturday. It was a great shooting night for Melilla especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. DR Congolese center Herve Kabasele (208-1996) nailed 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Javier Garcia (188-2001) accounted for 8 points and 8 assists. Alex Tamayo (195-2000) came up with 15 points and 6 rebounds and guard Alejandro Marin (193-1988) added 14 points respectively for Albacete in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Melilla. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 4 other teams. Albacete lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the tenth position with 12 games lost. They share it with 3 other teams.
