Newly promoted Mersin Buyuksehir Belediyesi Spor Mersin (BSL) landed 26-year old Australian international 208cm forward Will Magnay (college: Tulsa). Magnay started the season at Tasmania JackJumpers in Australian NBL league. In 13 games he averaged 13.8ppg, 7.1rpg (#4 in the league), 2.4apg, 1.2spg and 1.6bpg. Good season as he was voted League Player of the Week. The last season he played also at JackJumpers (NBL) where in 27 games he had 10.8ppg, 7.2rpg, 1.1apg and 1.6bpg. He helped them to win the league title.
Magnay has been also a member of Australian international program for some years. He has regularly played for Australian senior team since 2024 and previously for University National Team back in 2019.
Magnay also represented Australia at the FIBA Olympic Games in Paris (France) last year. His stats at that event were 4 games: 1.8ppg, 2.8rpg, 1.5spg.
He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in four different countries playing on three different continents. Magnay is familiar with European, Australian and of course North American leagues. He has played previously professionally in Spain (Monbus Obradoiro), NBA (New Orleans Pelicans), Australia (Rollers, Bullets, Wildcats and Capitals) and NBA G League (Erie BH).
Among many awards he received Australiabasket.com All-Australian NBL Most Improved Player of the Year award back in 2020.
Magnay attended University of Tulsa until 2018 and it is his seventh season in pro basketball.
