Monbus Obradoiro CAB Santiago de Compostela (Primera FEB) agreed terms with 26-year old American guard Alex Barcello (188cm-82kg-1998, college: BYU). He started the season at MLP Academics Heidelberg in German BBL league. In 15 games he had 11.2ppg, 3.3rpg and 3.1apg. The last season season he played at Guuk Gipuzkoa Basket San Sebastian (Liga Endesa).
He has played also professionally in Belgium (Oostende) and Greece (Kolossos H Hotels Rodou).
Among many awards he won Belgian League championship title in 2023. Barcello was also WCC All-Tournament Team back in 2021 at his college time.
He graduated from Brigham Young University in 2022 and it is his third season as a professional player. Barcello played also for University of Arizona for 2 years.
