It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Pau-Lacq-Orthez. Chartres looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for Surinamese forward Gavin Kensmil (201-1998, college: SF Austin) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Guinean-Ivorian swingman Ahmed Doumbia (195-1989) helped adding 20 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American-Ghanian forward Christopher Ledlum (198-2001, college: St.John’s) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds. Pau-Lacq-Orthez’s coach Mickael Hay rotated ten players in this game, but that didn’t help. Newly promoted Chartres maintains twentieth place with 6-17 record. Pau-Lacq-Orthez at the other side keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Chartres are looking forward to face higher ranked Saint-Chamond (#10) in Saint Chamond in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. They maintain third place with 16-7 record behind leader Boulazac. Caen lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the ninth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Saint-Chamond. Blois will play against league’s leader Boulazac at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Caen will play against Evreux (#19) and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Gries-Souffel managed to beat Saint-Chamond on the road 81-76. Chalons-Reims defeated Hyeres-Toulon on its own court 70-66. Poitiers smashed Rouen in a road game 94-72.
